Psychedelics and Dreaming
Almost everybody who begins to take psychedelics on a regular basis begins to note how much more vivid and profound their dreams start to become.
It seems that it’s perfectly possible to dream about tripping in which you experience all of the visual effects associated with tripping down to every tiny detail, this effect even extends as far as DMT trips as anyone who has had a DMT trip before will inevitably find themselves repeating it during their sleep at some point in their life.
If you’ve had previous experience with this powerful psychedelic and somebody hands you a bong packed with DMT in a dream which you then proceed to smoke, the trip will be exactly as if you had actually smoked it in real life. This trip will most likely resulting in you waking up with a huge adrenaline rush and a pounding heart rate.
The fact that a brain is capable of producing the most vivid and realistic visual psychedelic hallucinations famously associated with DMT without having any of the actual drug in its system in the first place simply through dreaming is not being studied at all and is further evidence in my opinion that once a psychedelic opens a door within your mind it doesn’t necessarily close it again.
I’ve personally experienced this countless times and experienced full blown trips during dreams and so have many of my friends.
